The story of Iris, The Visual Group begins in 1986 when Dr. Francis Jean opened his first optometry clinic in his home town of Baie-Comeau. The Iris banner, as it actually stands, has been in operation since 1994.
Over the last 25 years, Iris, The Visual Group has become the largest network of optometrists, opticians, and ophthalmologists in Canada, with stores from coast to coast. By bringing together the various eye care professionals under the same banner, Iris has improved on the Canadian standards of ocular health by offering products and services of the highest quality.
